School and Fish
20. September 2010 by admin.
School is back and I am back to my teaching and coaching job so my time on the water has been limited to the weekend. The fishing has not been the typical mid-September norm, but there are some big fish out there to be caught. I was out on the water both Saturday and Sunday with trips. On both days there were limited surface blitzes, but we found a few on both days. When not on a blitz, we fished structure and moving water was a key to hooking fish. There is plenty of bait, including balls of peanut bunker in the harbor, but in many of them, the fish have been limited. Saturday night I had a chance to fish myself with a friend of mine and on our way in got into a school of big fish. Although there was not much of a sign of surface action, we were marking fish and we hooked several nice fish before having to head in. My first fish took off right away and knew it was a good one.
The boat will be in the water until October 16th so book your charter today as I have a few dates available for the upcoming weekends.
Tight Lines,
Captain Webb
